Block 72: "Affordable"
Focusing on improving the environmental conditions of Foster, This project's primary goal is to reduce the area’s average temperature while, at the same time, being mindful of CO2 emissions during construction. Hence, wood was selected as the main material. The heart of Block 72 lies in the middle of the site. To establish the rare sense of community in the residential complex, residents will be drawn out toward the center where the courtyards and community room are located. This design studio was taught by the designers from Place Studio.
